| I realized I hadn't seen any birds since arriving in Suzhou. Bob was with me at the time and I took the opportunity to point up into the sky at what seemed to be tens or hundreds of thousands of birds swarming in the sky. He said "take another look". They were bats. I drew this picture at dawn, eager to get on paper, at least once, a hint of sky. |
