| This is my favorite drawing from the China trip. I'd been asking several of the people I knew if they would sit for portraits, but most politely avoided answering. In this case I don't know if I'd asked Cindy to pose or not, she just showed up with Julia, and so I had another subject to draw. She was a very good sitter, not moving a muscle, hardly twitching an eyelash. I think the drawing took about two hours to make. |
